How to Find Your Way Out, Step Into Your Power & Move Toward Your Purpose

Are you in a pit—or a prison?

  • Do you feel oppressed or trapped in your current situation?

  • Does your situation feel toxic?

  • Does it feel like you’re being held back and kept small?

  • You know you deserve better, but you have no idea how to get out?

Maybe you’ve only been in this situation for a short while. Or maybe it’s been years.

Time and again, despair overwhelms you and everything feels completely hopeless.

“I’ll never make it out of here!” “I’m going to die in this hellhole!” “Why isn’t God helping me?!”

You may also have discovered that the people around you don’t really understand you.

They don’t grasp how desperately you want to get out.

Maybe you’ve even asked yourself:

"Why doesn’t anybody care? Why isn’t anybody really helping me?"

Maybe you’ve even received prophetic words or messages from God telling you that you’ll get out, that He’ll bring you into a better situation, and that things will change.

So you muster all your faith. You find new hope. You believe again.

And then… nothing changes.

You’re still stuck in the mess.

And after being disappointed again and again, it can start to feel impossible to believe that you’ll ever get out.

Does this leave you feeling alone and abandoned?

Do you sometimes even wonder whether God has abandoned you and doesn’t care about you anymore?

Believe me: I understand you.

I can relate because I’m writing this from my own experience. You are not alone. There are other people stuck in situations that feel just as impossible.

And even if you don’t know how yet, you can get through this. You can get out.

So let’s take a look at how you can start making your way out of the pit.

I want to give you a few practical keys to help you turn this shit into gold. 😉

Because honestly?

I’m sick and tired of seeing God’s children sitting in pits, feeling abandoned and let down by God, just vegetating away.

You’re needed!

You matter!

And even if it doesn’t feel that way right now:

God hasn’t forgotten you!

So, let’s get you moving.

1. God may not pull you out of the pit—He may put a ladder in it instead!

This might sound surprising, but God may use the pit—or the prison—you’re currently in to teach you important lessons and prepare you for your divine mission.

So instead of simply pulling you out, He may put a ladder in the pit.

And then you climb.

One step at a time.

God can send you the knowledge and resources you need through people, books, the Bible, videos, courses, and many other channels.

He can give you step-by-step guidance for your next move.

One rung.

Then another.

And another.

Until, little by little, you climb out of the pit and back into the light and into life.

The ladder may already be there.

You just have to start climbing.

2. God may not change your circumstances—He may use them to heal your heart and prepare you.

Sometimes God doesn’t immediately change your situation because something deeper is happening within you. He may be using your current circumstances to bring you inner and holistic healing and deliverance, strengthen you, and prepare you for what lies ahead.

Your pit may be painful.

But it doesn’t have to be pointless.

There may be things you are learning here that you’ll one day use to help someone else climb out of their pit.

If you need support with this, feel free to contact me. This is one of the areas I specialize in, and I offer healing and deliverance sessions.

3. You’re learning co-creation with God—or Spirit, whatever you like to call it.

Your current situation may be teaching you something incredibly important:

You are not here to sit back and wait for life to happen to you.

You’re learning what it means to become a co-creator with God.

To listen.

To discern.

To receive guidance.

And then to move.

4. It’s about moving from powerlessness to power.

Take a moment and tune into how your current situation is affecting you.

What feelings come up?

Powerlessness?

Despair?

Helplessness?

Anger?

What else?

Your situation can become an invitation to consciously step out of the victim role and move from powerlessness to power.

Not by pretending everything is fine.

Not by denying what you’re experiencing.

But by asking: What is within my power right now?

Then you take a small step.

And another.

And another.

With every step, you climb one rung higher on the ladder and move closer to the light and freedom.

And yes—anger can be useful here.

When channelled constructively, anger can become fuel for action.

It says:

Enough is enough.

I’ve had enough.

I have to get out of here.

And suddenly, you start moving.

Anger can give you the courage to take that first step.

So don’t automatically suppress it.

Listen to it. Channel it. Use it as fuel.

Take responsibility for your life and your situation instead of remaining stuck in powerlessness and complaining.

Because if you stay there, you’re giving away precious time and energy.

You have to take action.

Prayer and faith are powerful—but they also need to become action.

As the Bible says: Faith without works is dead.

You can’t simply sit in your pit waiting for a miracle to fall into your lap.

It might happen.

But it might not.

So don’t build your life around waiting.

Pray.

Listen.

Then move.

Pray → Obey → Take action.

Pray → Obey → Take action.

Pray → Obey → Take action.

And repeat.

Unfortunately, no prince on a horse is going to ride up and pull you out of the pit.

Sorry to disappoint you. 😉

I know—it’s such a beautiful illusion!

But you have to take the steps yourself.

You have to climb the ladder.

The good news?

You don’t have to do it alone.

God can send you the guidance, resources and people you need along the way.

But you have to walk yourself.

5. Do what’s within your power—and leave God’s part to Him.

Ask God for guidance and help in everything.

Pay attention to what He places on your heart.

Listen to that inner whisper.

Follow your intuition and inner guidance as best you can.

Then take care of what is within your power and control—and surrender the rest to God.

You do your part. God does His.

That is co-creation.

6. Spiritual oppression: Don’t let yourself be intimidated. Step into your authority.

Perhaps you sense energies or spirits that seem to be oppressing you or keeping you down.

Maybe you experience this particularly strongly because you’re highly sensitive and a “feeler.”

Maybe you also believe in territorial spirits.

Maybe you’ve experienced spiritual oppression firsthand.

I believe you.

I know what you’re talking about.

And yes, your experience may also be connected to your own fears, doubts and insecurities—or to deeply rooted patterns and even what you perceive as ancestral curses.

But here’s what I want you to remember:

Don’t surrender your power to any of it.

God within you is greater and stronger than anything that seeks to hold you down.

With God, anything is possible.

You are here to break chains.

You are here to break through.

You are here to shatter patterns that have held generations back—with God’s help.

So don’t allow these things to intimidate you.

Pray. Ask God for help. Seek prayer, coaching or other support if you need it. And keep moving forward.

God can clear the way.

Break through.

You’ve got this!

7. Use what you have—what’s already in your hands.

What has God already placed in your hands?

What has He placed within you?

Your gifts.

Your talents.

Your experiences.

Your creativity.

Your story.

Your voice.

Use them!

Discover your gifts.

Develop them.

And share them with the world.

You don’t have to become somebody else.

You simply have to become more fully YOU.

Bring your wonderful, unique self into the world.

8. Acceptance without stagnation

Accept your situation as it is.

Don’t waste all your energy fighting reality.

Acceptance can be an important first step.

But please hear me:

Acceptance does not mean resignation.

You can accept where you are without deciding to stay there.

You can say:

This is where I am right now.

This is not where I’m going to stay forever.

You know that your current situation is temporary.

It’s a place of transition.

You believe that God has more in store for you.

So you don’t settle.

You accept what is—and still reach for more.

9. Self-worth and self-image

Your pit can teach you something profound about your own worth.

You are learning that you are a beloved child of God.

You are valuable.

You matter.

You are worthy.

And the more you become aware of your worth, the less willing you become to accept situations that diminish you. You don’t resign yourself to the pit because you know:

You deserve better.

10. Gratitude

Be grateful for what you already have.

Look for what is good in your life.

Focus on what is working.

Notice the blessings that are already present in your life.

Gratitude shifts your attention from what is missing to what is here.

And when you focus on abundance instead of constantly feeding the feeling of lack, you create a very different inner state.

So practice gratitude.

Look for the light—even while you’re still in the pit.

11. Joseph: From Pit and Prison to Palace and Purpose

Do you know the story of Joseph in the Bible?

Joseph was thrown into a pit by his own brothers.

Later, he found himself in prison—even though he was innocent.

Yet he didn’t allow the pit or the prison to define him.

He didn’t simply sit around complaining.

He didn’t become bitter.

He grew better.

Wherever he found himself, he became a blessing to others.

He used his gifts.

He helped people.

He remained faithful to who he was.

And eventually?

He went from prison to palace.

The pit and the prison were not the end of his story.

They were part of his preparation.

From Pit and Prison to Palace and Purpose.

Now that’s a story worth remembering.

If you’d like, go and read Joseph’s story in the Bible. Take him as a role model. Look at what he did with the circumstances he was given.

Because your pit is not necessarily your destination.

Your prison is not necessarily your permanent address.

You can emerge.

You can grow.

You can heal.

You can discover your gifts.

You can step into your purpose.

And you can find your way into your own version of the Promised Land.

You don’t have to climb alone.

If you need help on your journey out of the pit, ask God to send you the right coach, mentor or guide—and the right destiny helpers.

Ask Him for the people who can support you on your journey.

And perhaps you’re feeling that I’m one of those people.

If so, I would be absolutely delighted to accompany you, support you and cheer you on as you make your way out of the pit and back into the light—toward your purpose and your Promised Land.

I look forward to getting to know you!

Keep your faith in God.

And keep believing in yourself.

You can do this!

God and His angels are cheering you on.

And so am I. 💖

Lots of Love & Abundant Blessings,

Malaika
